Goodness, do all such folks have to be possessed of IQs lower than their age? How does this guy manage to dress himself?
Given all that family and friends dished out on him, I'm surprised that: (a) he hadn't been institutionalized; and (b) his revenge was so weak...poison ivy/oak for most folks, a few days of prednisone will handle that.
It seems that we share many of the same interests and we definitely have the same philosophy about pay back. To coin a saying from my military past, Payback is going to be a medi-vac, (if you are lucky)!
I do enjoy reading your work and hope that you will keep writing.
As for those who make negative comments, I agree that they should exercise the ultimate censorship and go somewhere else. If they don't like my comments I can only say, sin loi du ma! (tough sh!t mother f...ers!)!
While I thoroughly enjoyed reading the 11 pages, not sure why some commenters think it was a rushed ending or need more pages. This story is about Noel. And Jonah is her prince. And she (and Jonah) get there HEA. They will live, love, and thrive. He will fully recover. She already has great ideas for their future and they will be fiercely loyal to one another, weathering life's avalanches just like those Aspen trees.
Meanwhile, that guy Eric is doomed. Zoey is weak and the first time life throws challenges their way, she will bolt or seek comfort elsewhere. Great scene where less than a year after the terrible GB breakout on the sane mountain, Zoey says the exact same things to the new guy. Jonah ended up with the vastly superior woman. Noel is absolutely amazing.
5 blazing, hypernova stars. While I know some of the dialog comes off as being spoken by people on amphetamines and there are abrupt scenes changes, this story REALLY should be rated higher. Stunning romance.
The desert's quiet, Cleveland's cold, so the story ends we're told. Poncho needs your prayers it's true, but save a few for Lefty too. He only did what he had to do, and now he's growing old. (They played it on the radio...)
You guys are going to be sorry when Poncho's gone and you didn't give him one measly tip of the hat. That's thoughtless indifference to a national institution.
The story's still pretty good in a silly sort of way, but shouldn't the sun be up by now? There's going to be a lot of commuter traffic, and I bet a lot of people are double parked. Can't remember the name of the island in the Arctic where they think the last Mammoths lived. Save that damn pachyderm; I heard some nefarious Zambians were out to get his tusks.
These things should all be getting fives; for balls if nothing else. (Elephants have big balls)
Oh, oh I just felt a rush of blood to the head! The damn Prednisone is kicking in. By for now...
